Common questions

Questions about the equipment.

How many microphones are available?
26 in the locker, across dynamics, condensers, and modeling mics, plus a sub-kick and a reference mic for room measurement. All of it is included in the session, with no per-microphone charge.
How many channels can you record at once?
24 mic preamps as standard: eight on the PreSonus Quantum HD 8, plus eight each on a Focusrite Scarlett OctoPre and a PreSonus DigiMax DP88 over ADAT. More channels are available by running an aggregate device with the Axe-Fx III clocked to the Quantum.
How many people can be on headphones?
A Mackie HM-800 provides eight independent stereo cue mixes across sixteen headphone outputs, so players can have their own balance rather than everyone sharing one.
Can I bring my own gear?
Yes. Let us know 48 hours ahead so the room is patched for it before the session starts.
Do you reamp?
Yes, through either the Axe-Fx III or the Eleven Rack.
Are instruments available to use?
Yes. A Tama Silverstar kit with Zildjian cymbals, electric guitars including a seven-string, bass amplification, and a Seagull acoustic. Amps and headphones too.
