How should I prepare my files for mixing?
Export consolidated stems from the top of the session so everything starts at the same point, at the project's native sample rate, in 24-bit WAV. Leave off the mix bus processing unless it is part of the sound you want kept, and say so if it is. Name the tracks clearly. If you are unsure, send what you have and you will get specific instructions back rather than a rejection.
How many revisions do I get?
As many as the project needs, within the scope agreed before work starts. The estimate covers revisions.
Do I need mixing, mastering, or both?
If you have raw tracks, you need both. If you already have a finished stereo mix you are happy with, you just need mastering. Not sure? Send what you have and you will be told which one your project actually needs, at no charge.
Can you master something you did not mix?
Yes, and it happens often. Send the final stereo mix with a little headroom left on it. If the mix has a problem that mastering cannot solve, you will be told that directly instead of being sold a master that will not fix it.
Do you master for Spotify and Apple Music loudness targets?
Yes. Masters are prepared with platform normalization in mind, so the record holds its dynamics and impact after streaming services apply their own loudness adjustment, rather than arriving crushed and getting turned down anyway.
Do I need to be local?
No. Mixing and mastering are handled entirely remotely for clients anywhere in the world. Files come in, revision notes go back and forth, masters get delivered.
